Race Around The Place
EventWhether you’ve lived here a lifetime or haven’t yet experienced our charming town, the inaugural Race Around the Place is the perfect occasion to enjoy some friendly competition in the fresh air of Carleton Place, celebrate community and help support the Lanark County Food Bank. Come be a part of history on October 24, 2026!
Go all-in for the half marathon, speed through a 10K, or cruise for fun in a 5K. Glory or giggles – whatever works for you! This chip-timed race is for everyone: PR-chasers and high-fivers alike.
Routes take runners through our historic downtown and recreational paths. The half marathon extends to the quaint hamlet of Appleton before returning to Carleton Place along a section of the Trans-Canada Trail.
After you cross the finish line, Carleton Place offers you many shops, restaurants, and cafés that make our town special. Whether you’re a visitor discovering the town for the first time or a local enjoying your favorite spots, this event will be a win for all. See you there!
