Whether your shopping for antique furniture, candles, jewelry, art or hand-made items, The Queens Crafters and Antique Market is sure to have something for you.
Dianna Lachapelle is all about antiques; she began antiquing when she was just 13 years old. Dianna owned a multi-vendor antique store in Almonte for six years before opening The Queens with her twin sister Donna. Dianna says Donna “is the crafty one” whose specialty is crocheting. Donna even managed to teach her sister how to crochet over the phone while Dianna was living in Alberta, “but that might be a twin thing”.
The sisters, along with Dianna’s husband, a furniture refinisher, have been in business since 2018. They have combined their passions for crafting and antiques, as well as their friendly, bubbly personalities, to create a wonderful, locally made shopping experience.
A multi-vendor store housed in the old Queen’s Hotel, The Queens is now a cozy marketplace showcasing pieces made by local artisans and a unique collection of antiques. A blend of old and new, there is truly something for everyone to be found inside. The store offers a wide selection of handmade items, art from painting to photography, and a range of second hand, vintage and plus size clothing.
If you’re looking for a handmade gift, some new décor to spruce up your home or are looking for some hidden treasures, be sure to check out The Queens. With so much talent in one spot it’s no wonder there is something for everyone!
