The Carleton Place & District Chamber of Commerce exists to support local business and to provide information and resources to the residents and visitors of our community. Our goal is to create an environment for business success by providing value and support to our members.

Spend an afternoon visiting the Carleton Place and Beckwith Heritage Museum to find out more about the rich history of Carleton Place.The museum, which houses a large collection of local artifacts from the town of Carleton Place and Beckwith Township, is also home to a large number of documentary artifacts, textiles and photographs relating to local families. The museum has attractive exhibits for all ages and is wheelchair accessible. Group tours are welcome by appointment. The museum is open daily during the summer from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. except Sunday, when it is open from 1 to 4 p.m. It is open by appointment during the remainder of the year.

The Mississippi Mudds is a community theatre group that aims to expand the skills of its members while having fun and entertaining local audiences. Members have the opportunity to contribute or develop their skills in acting and singing, as well as the backstage and organizational aspects of community theatre. The “Mudds” were founded over 30 years ago by Carleton Place resident, Jan Ferguson.

The Roy Brown Society is dedicated to researching, perserving, and telling the story of Captain A. Roy Brown who has been given credit for shooting down the Red Baron in WWI. The Moore House in downtown Carleton Place located at 170 Bridge Street is the home of the Carleton Place Chamber of Commerce. At the Chamber office they have an exhibt dedicated to Captain Roy Brown as well as a gift shop. The Carleton Place and Beckwith Museum located at 267 Edmund Street in Carleton Place has further vintage pictures and stories on the life of Roy Brown.
