Johnny Cesario has a special gift of making anyone who walks into The Barber Shop feel like they are his best friends. His clients always leave with a slick new cut and a smile on their face.
The Barber Shop is looking different these days. The shop underwent a complete renovation to celebrate 20 years in business in May giving it a fresh and modern look.
Many people will be familiar with Ike and Dan Smith, the father-son duo who originally opened The Barber Shop. This June, the shop was taken over by Ike’s son-in-law, Johnny, following Ike’s retirement. Ike’s long time and loyal customers need not worry: Ike is still in the shop on Mondays.
Johnny is a true veteran in the industry; growing up, his whole family was involved in the hair industry and they still own several barber shops and salons across Ottawa. He began barbering when he was just 16 years old and brings over 30 years of experience to The Barber Shop. Previously, Johnny was working with his uncle and three cousins, but he began helping out Ike doing one day a week in Carleton Place about seven years ago.
If you’re looking for friendly atmosphere and a lots of know-how, The Barber Shop is a great place to go! Be sure to stop by and give Johnny a warm welcome and help the shop celebrate 20 years of business in Carleton Place.
