One Cold Night – Fundraising Event for Youth Homelessness

IMPORTANT MESSAGE about One Cold Night coming up on Friday, November 17th on Bridge Street!! from Lea D Maurice

“This is a very important event coming up on Friday, November 17th. Please join us in raising awareness for youth homelessness in Lanark County!

We will be sleeping outside on Bridge Street! Take a step out of your comfort zone and experience what some of our local youth go through and the struggles they must endure while having no place to go during the cold weather.

There are many locals joining in this effort to raise awareness including our Mayor! He accepted our challenge via social media and will be coming out and sleeping outside on the street.
This is an uncomfortable subject for some people and some people may not understand what they don’t see, but there is a need for support with our local youth and we would love for you to join us!
I and Courtney Hartwick-James will be walking down bridge street over the next bit looking for pledges and donations as well as more people to come out and spend the evening with us!

SOAK Artisan Bath & Body at 157 Bridge street will have special soaps being sold between the 10th and 17th of November 100% of ALL PROCEEDS and donations are going to a great organization, Cornerstone Landing Youth Services!

We can do this Carleton Place. Let’s fill up bridge street and make our mark on supporting the efforts of Cornerstone Landing and put an end to youth homelessness in Lanark County!”

Lea and Courtney are going on Lake 88 on Nov 9th stay tuned.

“We would just really love for anyone who can participate to do so or donate to the event in support of Cornerstone Landing.” said Lea.
